Humane’s $699 Ai Pin is now available

Humane has launched its inaugural product, the Ai Pin, a device designed to integrate the strengths of generative AI technologies like OpenAI's ChatGPT. Co-founders Bethany Bongiorno and Imran Chaudhri, both former Apple employees, aim to create a series of AI-focused hardware. The Ai Pin, priced at $699, offers a voice-operated, always-on experience, encouraging users to engage less with their smartphones.

The product reflects the founders' response to a societal concern: the pervasive use of smartphones to the detriment of real-life interactions. Bongiorno shared an anecdote about a family absorbed in their phones at a dinner, which partly inspired the Ai Pin's development. Humane's package includes the Ai Pin, an additional battery, and an AI charging case, with color variants starting at $799. OpenAI Researchers, Including Ally of Sutskever, Fired for Alleged Leaking

OpenAI recently dismissed two researchers, Leopold Aschenbrenner and Pavel Izmailov, after an internal investigation, the specifics of which remain undisclosed.
